This blog is to follow all the utterly fabulous events, shenanigans, and learning I’m going to experience as I head out of the country (for the first time!) to Germany and Poland for five weeks.  I’m so excited!!!

I’m heading to Germany and Poland because I’m enrolled in a Dialogue of Civilizations program (a summer study abroad) for my school.  This dialogue is focused on the Holocaust and genocide studies, and we’ll be going to Munich, Nuremberg, Berlin, Warsaw and Krakow.

Not only will we be doing things that involve our studies, such as talking to a Holocaust survivor, visiting Dachau and Auschwitz, going to Schindler’s factory, going to where the Nuremberg trials occurred, and touring Jewish Warsaw and Krakow, we will also be doing many tourist things, such as Neuschwanenstein  Castle (the fairy tale castle), bike tours everywhere, and, of course, visiting the many beer gardens Germany has to offer.  This will be the best place to hear about my shenanigans and adventures while I’m abroad.

Besides this blog, you can also hear from me via Snapchat, WhatsApp, Voxer, and Viber.
