Today we visited Schindler’s Factory, or the museum focused on it. The actual factory was converted into a place for making radios.
The museum turned out to be more of a history of Krakow museum, with a focus on Schindler’s factory in several rooms. It was one of the more interesting and interactive museums that we have visited so far. The portion dedicated to Schindler’s factory was especially interesting.
After the tour we watched a thirty minute video that was composed of interviews of Schindler’s workers, and all the stories they had of him. He truly risked everything, even as a high Nazi official, to save the lives of his workers. It really highlighted how not every German was really a Nazi, even some of the Nazis themselves.
Afterwards we went to a cellar bar – underground bars that are really popular in Poland. They make terrible margaritas, but the place was really cool!
